Trip contents summary
- Time: 10.00 – 5pm for 7 hours tuition, photography, learning and fun!
- Learn what is street photography? Can we define it or not?
- Get to grips with some of the Street photography fundamentals, including shutter speeds and apertures.
- Explore use of ISO and White Balance.
- Get creative with composition, movement & lighting.
- Black & white shooting – capturing mood and contrast. Does it enhance or distract
- Seek opportunities beyond the obvious.
- Smaller group numbers will ensure we all get the time to seek our own learning wishes.
Location
Starting near St Paul’s Cathedral and crossing the Thames we take in the Tate Modern, South Bank, Skate Park and end close to Waterloo Station and one of my favourite locations.
Itinery
- 10.00: Meet at CoconDi Mama 10 Martins Le Grand EC1A 4EN. This is directly outside Exit 1 of St Paul’s Station on the Central Line. Here we will introduce each other and discuss hopes and expectations for the day.
- 10.30: We start to stretch our legs around One New Change to St Paul’s Cathedral. Moving across the Thames we take in the ‘street’ of the Tate Modern before exploring the South Bank and its creative opportunities.
- 1pm (approx.) we stop for lunch (cost not included) around the South Bank street food market to eat and yes get those shots.
- 1.45pm: We continue along the South Bank to try out those shutter speeds and creative shots at the Skate Park, continuing towards the London Eye and Waterloo for that final location…
- 4.30pm: Debrief the day, questions and departure. Waterloo Station is 5 mins walk away.
