Exploring Photography as a way to Well Being

Night Time Mindful Photography

This workshop is not centred in the countryside or beachheads. It is not even set in the daytime.

Photography for Well Being

Having run a Photography for Well Being group for some years this is an opportunity for me to give a little back…

Mindful Arnos Vale

Full of pathways and trails it is an endless opportunity for any photographer to be fully present in the surroundings. There is no rush as we take in together nature, colour, shapes, shadows and textures and possibly even some street art!

Return to Redcliffe

From the inventions that arose, its important part in the abolitionist movement, buildings to challenge the leaning Tower of Pisa, to pirates and miracles. Redcliffe has it all

Historic Clifton

When we think of Clifton, we tend to think of The Downs and Brunel’s Suspension Bridge. But Clifton, and particular Clifton Village offers so much more.

London Shoreditch Sunday

When we think of London images come to mind, of bridges and towers, palaces, museums’ and West End shopping. But London has so much more to offer than its incredible history.

London Shoreditch Monday

Its people, culture, sounds, smells, food, street art, quirky and different. And for me these last few years nowhere gives me more of this, plus its history than Shoreditch.

Quirky Bristol, King Street

When we think of Bristol, we tend to think of Brunel’s Suspension Bridge, the SS Great Britain and flying balloons. But Bristol offers so many more opportunities for photography.

London Nights

From the main A10 road with its opportunities for light trails, the skyscraper buildings for cityscapes, some of Instagram’s most iconic buildings structures and some dark alleyways where black and wite can come into its own.

About Adrian

Dealing with difficult times

I remember, not so long ago, knowing I was going through some difficult times. I didn’t know then that PTSD and crippling self-doubt were leading me down a dark and difficult path.

More about me

A personal journey

I did know that I liked photography and increasingly discovered how being out with a camera, whether it be my phone, compact or DSLR helped me find those places and times of peace and value. Increasingly my images became an expression of a personal journey through many dark tunnels that in time resulted in my embracing taking photos as a way of healing. Indeed I photographed this journey using tunnels as an expression of my feelings. (Please feel free to see more of this on my blog)

Mindful Photography

That journey led me to embrace what is called mindful photography. Please feel free to read ‘meet me’ for more of my journey. And mindful photography was at first just words, until I embraced it as a way of healing, of recovery, of sharing and now as part of my life. (See Mindful Photography to see more of what it is and is not)

Commissioned Work

“Adrian recently worked with us to provide the photographs for an employer’s guide to employing with people with a learning difficulty. Not only did his photographs perfectly captured the true essence of what we were trying to covey in the guide, but he was professional, sensitive and courteous to all involved. We look forward to working with Adrian again.
